3 Steps to DE-STRESS Your Business Starting Right Now
Have your weekdays started to get longer and your weekends shorter because of your workload? If yes, you’re not alone. I had a big AHA moment last week during a typical hectic day. I realized I had to do things differently in my business. I needed to become more organized so I could still get the same amount of work done in a shorter period of time.
Here are 3 tips to de-stress your business immediately:
Tip #1 – Create a 12-Month Calendar – The first step is to map out all of the things that you want to get done in a 12-month period. Next prioritize what’s most important and then assign it to a month. Each month should have no more than 3 major priorities. Therefore, you create an annual strategy of what you need to get done broken up by months which is easier to manage.
Tip #2 – Develop a Visionary Organizational Chart – Building an empire requires a team. You can only grow so much by yourself. Once you understand everything that you want to accomplish over the next 12 months identify the skillsets or people that will be required to achieve your goals. For instance, you may need help with marketing, sales, or accounting. In the beginning of growing your business you may be doing everything by yourself but create a visionary organizational chart so when you have additional money to invest in your business you can outsource some of the tasks.
#3 – Systems – Create a list of all of the systems or processes that you need to put in place to successfully run your business. Write down the top 5 steps for each system. Review your systems and utilize my 3D Method. Do the task yourself, Delegate it to someone else or Delete it. Some of the things that you are doing in your business are time wasters and aren’t increasing your bottom line. Once you write down your systems you can determine which changes you need to make.
The very first step in de-stressing your business is identifying where you currently are. It’s difficult to develop a path to growth without knowing your baseline.
