The seventh reason for mediating is that it reduces stress. People are consistently under a lot of stress in their professional and personal. Many people take pride in being able to function at high levels while thriving in highly stressful environments. Sometime this is done to the detriment of the body. Ignoring signs to slow down can and will lead to serious health impediments.
By implementing a daily meditation program, you can reduce the stress in your life. You can, in a sense, slow life down. Through meditation, you will be able to calm yourself down and focus inward. By doing this, you will see that the things that you have been stressing over, really do not deserve the time that you have been given them. It serves as a stress reducer. Meditation has been shown to help people in this area.
