This is Part 9 of a 10 part series on the benefits of meditation for leaders.
The ninth reason for mediating is that it helps you sleep better. The difference between winning and losing can come down to a good night’s sleep. Quality restful sleep is one of the most valuable things every person should have. Meditation has been shown to help people in this area.
While meditating in the morning is a great way to start your day, meditating before bed is also a great way to end your day. It can help you make the transition from your day of activity to a night of sleeping peacefully. If you have ever had the experience of being very tired, going to bed and then tossing and turning because thoughts keep coming to mind and you could not sleep, meditation is definitely for you. Meditating before bedtime can help you rest so that you can fall asleep. It can help you avoid that frustrating feeling of being tired but unable to fall asleep, especially when you have another busy day to look forward to tomorrow. Meditation will help to quiet the thoughts in your mind which have previously kept you from restful sleep.
